Join Duluth artist Lin Rose on a one-day plein air adventure on the Superior Hiking Trail!

Bring your plein air painting & sketching supplies and join us for a day on the trail at two distinct locations: Temperance River State Park followed by Cascade River State Park! This activity is a meet and greet for artists who enjoy working in the great outdoors. Every level of experience welcome to this Leave No Trace friendly event! Our goal is to make this event accessible, so we will be finding scenic locations on the Superior Hiking Trail close in to the trailhead as to maximize our time working on art and allow people of all hiking abilities to join.

We plan to meet at the Temperance River Trailhead Parking on HWY 61 at 10am. Link to Map HERE where we will then head to the Hidden Falls Trailhead West. We will then hike into the Temperance River Gorge and decide on our scenic location to work.

Our Second Location will be Cascade River State Park starting at 2pm. We will Park at the Cascade River Parking on Hwy 61. Link to map HERE where we will then head up the Superior Hiking Trail to decide on our scenic location to work. *Note- these maps are for denoting parking and trailhead locations only and not representative of the routes we intend to hike.

Please bring your own art supplies as well as a daypack with necessary items to work outside! Some items we recommend you bring include:

• Water bottle

• Hat

• Sunblock

• Rain Gear

• Lunch & Snacks

• Cell Phone

• Camera

• Art Supplies (Sketchbook, painting supplies, easel, etc.)
